The chemical treatment (decontamination) offered by Krok LLC when preparing equipment for opening is an effective, modern method that allows to reduce the steaming time, reduce the risks of ignition of deposits containing pyrophoric compounds, improve the quality of cleaning the internal surfaces of devices and, as a result, reduce the time for subsequent mechanical cleaning.
The principle of chemical treatment is based on the interaction of a chemical reagent containing surfactants with the remains of hydrocarbon deposits. The reagent supplied to steam contacts the inner surfaces of columns, apparatuses and pipelines, reducing the surface tension of hydrocarbon deposits and contributes to their removal as part of a water-hydrocarbon emulsion, which allows degassing - bringing the treated medium to the maximum permissible concentration (MPC) for the content of harmful substances in a short period of time.
The reagents used by Krok LLC are non-flammable, biodegradable, compatible with metal surfaces, do not harm sealing materials and have a hydrogen pH close to neutral. Safety data sheets and certificates of state registration of the Russian Federation are available for reagents.
In preparation for the chemical treatment work, the specialists of Krok LLC conduct a technical analysis of the processed system and, together with the Customer, develop and coordinate measures for the organization of steaming contours that allow the reagent to be distributed throughout the processed system, eliminating the presence of dead-end areas and stagnant zones. During preparation, the properties of the product processed in the apparatus and installation, the device and location of the apparatus, the possibility of drainage, silencing, steam and water supply, the presence and characteristics of internal devices, inter-repair mileage, as well as the presence of deposits containing pyrophoric compounds in the system are taken into account.
